MIDNIGHT To Release Hellish Expectations Full-Length March 8th
January 2024
Notorious and prolific Cleveland cult, MIDNIGHT, will unleash its sixth full-length, Hellish Expectations, on
March 8th via Metal Blade Records.
One-man-army, Athenar, has been churning out an ungodly racket, dropping countless demos, splits, and EPs for over two decades, ultimately slaying the metal/punk underground with his own, highly addictive brand of lust, grime, and sleaze. Filthy, belligerent, and unapologetically obnoxious, MIDNIGHT makes music to start fights to and in 2024 Athenar returns with Hellish Expectations, a ten-track sonic assault of blackened heavy metal nefariousness.
"It’s a knuckle dragger with a fat cutoff,” elaborates Athenar, “Pure testosterone meat. Probably the most concise and straight-to-the-point MIDNIGHT album to date, and all written in a weekend. The album was written on pure reaction upon leaving the studio after listening to raw tracks from the previous album Let There Be Witchery. The final mix of that album was good, but at the time of laying it down in the studio, I didn't like what I was hearing and demanded a new leviathan of an album to be written that weekend."
In advance of the official unveiling of Hellish Expectations, MIDNIGHT has dropped the record’s first single, album closer “F.O.A.L.” (AKA “Fuck Off And Live”), alongside an accompanying video.
Proclaims Athenar, "‘Fuck Off And Live’ is an ode to the people who peacefully want to die to escape the realities of life, while they should really live and suffer."

This unholy alliance of American heavy metal heavyweights forged in the fires of hades is a veritable dream come true for the European legions who have been impatiently waiting since 2019 for the return of both bands to the Old World.
Dubbed the European Attack 2022 tour, the five-week trek includes 28 dates spanning 12 countries, including multiple festival appearances.

Cleveland’s blackened speed tyrants MIDNIGHT and Ventura, California’s traditional metal masters NIGHT DEMON are joining forces on the road for a co-headlining European tour, next summer.
This unholy alliance of American heavy metal heavyweights forged in the fires of hades is a veritable dream come true for the European legions who have been impatiently waiting since 2019 for the return of both bands to the Old World.
Dubbed the European Attack 2022 tour, the five-week trek includes 28 dates spanning 12 countries, including multiple festival appearances.

MIDNIGHT To Play Rock Hard Festival 2022

MIDNIGHT will be playing the Rock Hard Festival in Gelsenkirchen, Germany - June 3rd - 5th.
ROCK HARD FESTIVAL has only one stage, a beer garden (of course!), a metal market, metal disco, an autograph booth and a merch & food street, but NO amusement-park-type side attractions such as bungee jumping, viking villages, car exhibitions etc... Instead, ticket, food and drink prices remain as low as possible. The capacity is strictly limited to 6.500 visitors.
The Sanguine Sodomy of North America Tour 2022

Just announced, 'The Sanguine Sodomy of North America Tour 2022' which will feature Mayhem, Watain and special guests Midnight.
Tour begins in San Francisco on March 7th and spans across both West and East coasts with a couple shows in Canada. Tour dates are listed in our Live Dates section!

Midnight played a killer set at this year's Psycho Fest Las Vegas on August, 22nd on the main stage. Thanks to those who made the show at the Mandalay Bay in Vegas!
After their performance MIDNIGHT recorded a Motorhead track “Dirty Love” for the Psycho Vegas tribute compilation!

Midnight has been added to The Blackout Cookout 11 in Youngstown, OH on Saturday, October 23rd 2021.

Midnight has also been added to Rock Imperium in Cartagena, Spain in June of 2022. They will be playing the festival along side the Scorpions, White Snake, Black Label Society and other bands.

Midnight "Rehearsal Vomits" is the debut release from Chained Records which was previously featured on the bonus disc on the initial CD pressing of the "Sweet Death and Ecstasy" album released in 2017. This is a live-in-the-studio recording that's the full band running through songs spanning many releases with some amazing between song banter and jams!
